According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to difficult meteorological conditions (strong wind, snow, and poor visibility), the movement on Akhaltsikhe-Ninotsminda (border of the Republic of Armenia) 90 - 112km section of the road is prohibited for movement of trailers, semi-trailers, and buses with a capacity of more than 30 seats, while the activity of other types of vehicles is free. Traffic is open on the rest of the road.
