According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, due to heavy snowfall and avalanche danger, traffic on the 171-186 kilometer (Kala-Ushguli) section of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili highway of international importance is prohibited.
