Tram with Georgian alphabet in Strasbourg

The tram designed with Georgian alphabet will operate in the streets of Strasbourg in connection with Georgia's chairmanship of the Council of Europe.

The tram decorated with the Georgian alphabet designed by the young Georgian calligrapher Nikoloz Ghunashvili was presented at the Droits de l'homme stop.

The Georgian Foreign Minister, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the Deputy Mayor of Strasbourg and the French Permanent Representative cut the red ribbon.

The first guests drove from Droits de l'homme to Republique stop. Tram will operate in Strasbourg for 6 months.

Georgia will be the Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe starting from today until May 15, 2020.
