Tsertsvadze: Do not have the illusion of aggressive testing efficiency

“Despite that, we have been conducting the aggressive testing of the population on Hepatitis C during five years; there is only a half of the population tested,” – said Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Head of Infectious Disease Hospital while commenting on the option of COVID-19 aggressive testing.

He said that we do not have to build illusions on the efficiency of aggressive testing.

“No doubt that the more people we test, the better, but mind that even in the countries where the aggressive testing method was used, only 8-10 percent of the population is tested. Ninety percent remains untested” – Tsertsvadze said.
