UNESCO has included the deceased operator of "TV Pirveli" in the list of journalists killed in 2021.
The data was published on the organization's website.
"Alexandre Lashkarava, date of murder - July 5, nationality - Georgian," reads the UNESCO website.
On July 5, 2021, on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, radical groups opposing the "Tbilisi Pride" week attacked journalists.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on July 5, 55 people became victims of violence, including 53 members of the media.
Radical groups also attacked media representatives on July 6.
TV Pirveli cameraman Lekso Lashkarava was physically assaulted during the July 5 events.
He was treated at New Hospitals for several days.
On July 11, he was found dead in his house.
