Voters electing 64 mayors and 2 068 members of the City Council

Today, Georgian voters will elect 64 mayors and 2 068 members of the City Council. They will be empowered for a period of 4 years.

The candidate who receives more than 50% of the vote in the mayoral election will win. A 40% threshold applies to the election of majoritarian members of the City Council.

In municipalities except for Tbilisi, a 3% threshold for proportional representation has been set.

Mandates in Tbilisi City Council will be distributed proportionally only to those election subjects who receive no less than 2.5% of the votes.

According to the CEC, 3,513,884 voters are registered on the voter list.
