We cannot host visitors from countries hardest him by the virus: Gamkrelidze

We cannot receive tourists from countries hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic, according to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the head of the Center for Disease Control and Public Health.

"Serious steps are being taken in the country to reopen tourism. From 15 June, inner tourism is planned to be reopened and from 1 July, international tourism. Clearly though, we cannot receive representatives of all countries, including those who were hardest hit by the virus. Tourist reception systems and other protocols are now being formulated. We must minimize all risks of imported cases," Gamkrelidze said.
