What are long-term effects of COVID-19 ?

Healthcare Advisor to the UN Secretary-General, Giorgi Pkhakadze, says that coronavirus may have unpleasant side effects.

In Prof Phakadze's words, those who have recovered from the novel virus should not be over-excited because they have beaten it.

"Be careful, especially for the first three months: avoid stress, too much physical activity, eat a balanced diet, and walk outside to breathe fresh outdoor air at least for 30 mins. Do not put pressure on medical institutions now, but once we are back to normal, have a healthcare provider subject you to physical examination.

Research shows that there are some side effects associated with mental diseases, forgetfulness, memory loss, with some of them mild and others more serious. Also, do not forget cardiovascular problems," Mr. Pkhakadze said.
