Will state of emergency be declared - the decision

"A state of emergency and full quarantine is not planned across the country," Natia Mezvrishvili, the head of the Georgian government administration, said at a briefing after the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council.

According to her, at this stage, mainly concentrated work is being carried out in Batumi.

"The control of the measures and the existing restrictions that are in force today are quite strict. This control is tightened in Batumi, in particular. We want to inform the public that a state of emergency and full quarantine is not planned across the country. Full quarantine is not planned even in Batumi. Therefore, the restrictions are local where there is a need for it," Natia Mezvrishvili said.
