Women worked on plot of a family infected with COVID-19 in Marneuli

In the village of Maradis, Marneuli Municipality, women took care of a potato crop of the family infected with COVID-19. UN Women Georgia spreads the information through the social network.

Local Naira Paksadze, along with other active women, worked on a plot to prevent the infected family from losing the only source of income. The owners of the land are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Women maintained a social distance while working.

"What else can we do in a situation like this? The crop would be ruined if we didn't help. When discharged from the hospital, they need to live," Naira said.

Naira Paksadze is a community worker at the Taso Foundation and is actively involved in the UN Women's Community mobilization project.
