Georgian citizen Ahmed Razmazar (80 kg weight category) became the gold winner of the 2021 World Cup in Manchester.
As Georgia's Para Olympic Committee reports, the Georgian para powerlifting team started the tournament with a triumph. Razmazar turned out to be the strongest among seven athletes.
"He showed the best result and took first place. Congratulations to our para-athlete and his coach - Zurab Tsikhishvili. Georgia's para powerlifting team continues competing," Georgia's Para Olympic Committee reports.
The World Cup is a pre-qualification tournament for the 2021 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
