According to the Georgian National Olympic Committee, ski resort Bakuriani will host the 2025 European Youth Olympics Festival.
"The 49th Executive Committee of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) General Assembly has decided to officially award host status to Bakuriani for the 2025 Winter Youth Olympic Games.
All online European Forum delegates, who were provided with the required information on Georgia's application and watched a three-minute video by the National Olympic Committee, have approved this decision," according to the information released by the Committee.
The National Committee says that this is a turning point in the development of Georgia's winter sports as the time for making serious investments in this field has come.
