Ex-presidents of FIFA and UEFA facing imprisonment

Swiss prosecutors have charged former presidents of the International Football Association (FIFA) and the European Football Association (UEFA), Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini. This was announced by the General Prosecutor's Office of the country.

According to CNN, they are accused of embezzling two million Swiss francs and falsifying documents.

The investigation revealed that Blatter illegally transferred money to Platini in 2011, which damaged FIFA assets.

Blatter and Platini resigned in 2015 and 2016 in connection with the case.
