Former UN chief elected as head of IOC Ethics Commission

Former UN chief Ban Ki-moon got re-elected as the chief of IOC Ethics Commission during the 138th session of the IOC held in Tokyo on Tuesday.

Ban Ki-moon's candidacy was supported by 70 out of 71 IOC members.

"I want to express my sincere gratitude for being elected for another four years. It is an honor and a privilege to work in this position," he said.

Ban Ki-moon served as UN Secretary-General from January 1, 2007, to December 31, 2016.
