Joan Laporta becomes President of "Barcelona"

Joan Laporta won the presidential election of "Barcelona." Two other candidates ran in the polls: Víctor Font and Antoni Freixa.

The majority voted for Joan Laporta. He will lead the club for the next four years. The favorite of the club's legendary captain, Carles Puyol, Víctor Font, took second place in the elections.

Laporta was president of Barcelona from 2003-2010, and many fans or football experts consider his tenure to be the best period in the history of the club.
