Jose Mourinho sets record in Italian Serie A

Roma head coach José Mourinho has set a record in Serie A in Italy, OptaPaolo reports.

The 58-year-old Mourinho achieved this at the home match of the 7th round against Empoli F.C., where his team won with a score of 2:0.

He sets the record for the longest home unbeaten run in Serie A history, at 42 matches, beating Max Allegri’s record of 41 matches. It is a record since the 1994/1995 season.

The Portuguese head coach worked in Italy’s Inter Milan in 2008-2010.
