Sandro Bazadze won a bronze medal at the Fencing World Cup in Budapest, as he performed successfully after a year break.
He defeated Polish Mateusz Knez (15: 8), the Russians - Anatoly Kostenko (15:10), and Veniamin Reshetnikov (15:14), as well as the Italian Enrico Bere (15: 2), but in the semi-finals, he lost to the Hungarian Aron Siladya (6:15).
Bazadze retained seventh place among men in the FIE individual fencers rating.
