"Silk Road Cup" Online Chess Tournament organized by SOCAR with the support of The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and the Georgian Chess Federations has come to an end. The event was dedicated to the Independence Days of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Around 50 chess players were involved in the tournament, with the prize fund of €20,000. The results will be announced tomorrow.
The tournament aimed to deepen relations between the two countries and maintain and popularize the practice of playing chess.
