Soso Tkemaladze registered as Rugby Union president

The Public Registry has registered Soso Tkemaladze as Rugby Union president. He will take on his duties starting tomorrow and will preside over the union for four years.

The Public Registry reinstated Tkemaladze's candidature after termination.

Mr. Tkemaladze was elected Rugby Union president on 10 March. Initially, Irakli Abuseridze was appointed to the post, but on the basis of a candidate Bacho Kurtsidze's letter, the Public Registry held back from registering him, giving him time to eradicate shortcomings.

The registry refused to register Mr. Abuseridze for the second time and registered Ioseb Tkemaladze instead on 19 February.
