Up to 500 people quarantined at Australian Open

A few days before the start of the Australian Open, organizers were forced to quarantine tennis players, officials, and support staff. One of the volunteers who took part in organizing the tournament was diagnosed with coronavirus.

Up to 507 people are in isolation at the Melbourne quarantine hotel.

Despite the strict measures taken, the tournament will still be held. It will start one day later. Until then, players will be tested.

It is unlikely that any of the players would be diagnosed with coronavirus because they had no contact with the infected.
