Vake Football Center officially opens

The Georgian Football Federation (GFF) has officially opened the Vake Football Center. The ownership of the Vake Football Center was transferred to the GFF from the National Agency of State Property. The Sports University supported the ownership transfer process.

The construction work on the area in the vicinity of the Sports University was launched in early-2020. 

The construction of the new Football Center was funded by the UEFA's Hat-Trick program. 

The Football Center will be free for local football schools, with its running track available for the local public.  

President of the  Football Federation of Georgia, Levan Kobiashvili, attended the opening ceremony. According to him, two other sports centers are planned to open in Tbilisi. 

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze was also present at the opening ceremony of the Vake Football Center.
