101.38 carat diamonds sold at auction in exchange for cryptocurrency

International auction house Sotheby's will receive payment for a 101.38-carat diamond with Bitcoin or Etherium, another important milestone in cryptocurrency acceptance.

According to Bloomberg, the diamond could be valued at $ 15 million, which, according to Sotheby's, would make it the most expensive physical item ever sold in cryptocurrency.

Auction houses are accepting cryptocurrencies as a form of payment. Last month Phillips offered to buy a work by street artist Banksy with Ethereum or Bitcoin.
