103 years since the liberation of Baku from the Bolshevik-Dashnak junta

Today marks the 103rd anniversary of the liberation of Baku from the Bolshevik-Dashnak junta, Azerbaijani media writes.

Although Azerbaijan declared independence in May 1918, part of the country, Baku, and surrounding areas remained occupied.

On September 15, the Islamic Army of the Caucasus and the Azerbaijani corps liberated Baku from the occupiers. After that, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan was moved from Ganja to Baku.
