16 killed in a landslide in Nepal

Sixteen people died in a landslide caused by heavy rain in mountainous villages of Nepal. Tens of houses are damaged, rescuers search for missing people, writes Reuters.

According to the Internal Ministry, twenty-eight people near Katmandu are missing. Rain and mud inhibit the rescue operation.

Nepal is facing a disaster in the June-September period annually. The floods and debris flows have already killed 215 people and 85 more are missing this year.
