17-year-old who hacked Twitter sentenced to 3 years in prison

Teenage hacker Graham Ivan Clark will spend three years in prison. He was arrested in July 2020 when he was 17 years old.

Clark was able to hack Twitter in July last year and posted on behalf of celebrities (Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Joe Biden, Jeff Bezos, etc.) that those who sent Bitcoin to the specified account would be doubled. With this method, Clark was able to obtain $ 117,000 worth of Bitcoin.

As an adult, Clark would be sentenced to 10 years in prison, but a plea agreement was reached because he was arrested at the age of 17. He returned the bitcoins and also agreed not to use computer technology without a supervisor.
