The number of people infected with the new coronavirus increased by 2 596 in the last 24 hours in Iran. The spokesman of the Health Ministry, Kianoush Jahanpour, revealed the information about the latest numbers.
According to the Minister of Health, a total of 197 647 people tested positive on the new coronavirus infection in the country.
COVID-19 killed 9 272 patients, 87 of them during a day.
About 156 991 patients recovered and defeated the virus.
