The Health Ministry of Italy reports 1,071 new coronavirus infection cases during the last day and night, which is a new record since May.
The total number of infected in the country is 258,136. The virus killed 35,430 people, including three during the last 24 hours.
Italy reports 205,203 recoveries; at present, there are 17503 active cases in the country.
