As Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev told Al Jazeera in an interview, international sanctions are to be imposed on Armenia to force it to comply with the resolutions and start liberating lands.
He says Armenia's destructive policy causes all the current happenings.
In his words, everything should be done to end the conflict as shortly as possible.
''We have no time to wait for another 30 years,'' Aliyev remarked.
He noted that Azerbaijan enjoys support in terms of international law standards and international organizations' resolutions.
''There is not enough practical pressure on the aggressor. Here we see the contradiction between international law and what is happening in reality. So, such an open ignorance of the norms and principles of international law by Armenia should be a good indicator that international law does not work or it works selectively,'' he concluded.
