Belarus opposition leaders nominated for the Nobel Prize

Three leaders of the Belarusian opposition were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, Deutsche Welle reports.

Reports say Deputy of the Norwegian parliament Geir Toskedal nominated three leaders of the Belarusian opposition for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2021.

The three leaders are Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Maria Kolesnikova and Veronica Tsepkalo, Toskedal, told the VĂ¥rt Land newspaper.

He nominated Tikhanovskaya, Kolesnikova, and Tsepkalo "for their struggle for fair elections and for inspiring peaceful opposition against the illegitimate regime in Belarus."
