Bird flu outbreak in the Philippines

In the northern part of the Philippines, there is an outbreak of bird flu H5N6 in the province of Pampanga. The Ministry of Agriculture of the country spreads information about the flu.

38.7 thousand chickens got destroyed on farms to prevent the spread of the virus. Veterinarians and relevant agencies supervised the operation.

Specialists name seasonally migratory birds as the cause of the explosion. They urge farmers not to allow contact between domestic and wild birds.
