Boris Johnson and Donald Trump agree 'to coordinated' response to coronavirus

U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson agreed to work with Donald Trump to fight the coronavirus pandemic in a telephone call on Tuesday afternoon.

Downing Street said in a statement following the call that the leaders had agreed on the importance of "a coordinated international response to coronavirus," including through the G7, which is currently chaired by the U.S.

The British prime minister and president also committed to signing a free-trade agreement "as soon as possible."
