The UK has recorded a total of 39,045 coronavirus-related deaths since the beginning of the outbreak, with 111 fatalities reported in the latest 24 hour period. A total of 1,570 people were infected in one day in the country, according to Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who confirmed the lowest 24 hour increase in fatalities relating to the virus since lockdown measures were implemented.
