Canadian PM takes a knee at an anti-racism protest

Prime Minister took a knee in a show of solidarity with demonstrators at a rally against anti-Black racism and police brutality in Ottawa, Reuters writes.

The Prime Minister appeared at the act after a protester woman died as a result of excessive force used by police.

Asked to comment on Trump’s idea of using soldiers against protesters on Tuesday, the Liberal prime minister paused for more than 20 seconds before saying that Canadians were watching the United States with “horror and consternation.”

Protests are held in Canadian cities in response to the George Floyd murder.
