Coffee may be wiped out

Coffee may disappear because of climate change, according to the Global Change Biology journal.

Current temperatures may damage Robusta coffee as coffee can grow in 18 to 26,6 °C only.

Coffee is mainly grown in Africa, the region subjected to severe climate change today. After conducting studies here, scientists concluded that the region had produced a much lower amount of coffee.

Today, Robusta is a major type of coffee variety, followed by Arabica.
