According to the Robert Koch Institute, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Germany increased to 171,306. During the last 24 hours, 798 cases of infection got identified in the country, while 101 people died, and the death toll rose to 7,634.

The highest rate of infection is in Bavaria, reaching 44 802, North Rhine-Westphalia - 35 555, Baden-Wuerttemberg - 33 518, and Berlin - 6 298.
