COVID-19 found in Ecuadorian shrimp in China

Chinese customs officers discovered a new coronavirus in a frozen butch of shrimp imported from Ecuador.

Samples were taken at the Dalian City Terminal. The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China announced the information about the incident.

The shrimp underwent testing. The inside of the package itself did not test positive on COVID-19.

Chinese customs officers revoked a company's license that brought in shrimps and banned them from importing the products.
