Over the past week, overall new cases of coronavirus infection worldwide have dropped by 14%. Mortality also reduced (by 2%), the World Health Organization reports.
Last week, there were 4,144,658 newly identified cases of coronavirus, while 84,306 patients died. However, mass vaccination results in positive trends.
Covid infection is also reduced in Europe (by 25%) and Southeast Asia (21%). However, cases increased in Africa (by 4%) and the Americas (2%). As for mortality, the rate is reduced everywhere around the world by a small percentage.
