According to the decree of the President of Armenia, Armen Sargsyan, early parliamentary elections will be held in the country on June 20.
Earlier, the Armenian Parliament failed to elect a prime minister on a second attempt, which, according to the Armenian constitution, automatically provides for the dissolution of Parliament.
Since the legislature could not re-elect the head of government within a week, Parliament was dissolved, and early elections got officially called.
