Eight people die in the fire in the Czech Republic

Eight people died, and another thirty were seriously injured in the fire in a facility for persons with disabilities in the Czech Republic. The accident occurred in Vejprty, a city in the north of the country at the German border.

The firefighters tried to extinguish the fire for several hours. Most of the victims are killed and injured through smoke inhaling

Czech prime minister Andrej Babis assessed the accident as a “Huge Tragedy” and offered his condolences to the families of those who died.

The causes of the fire are yet to be investigated.
