EMA makes statement regarding "boosters"

Regular "boosters" of COVID-19 may weaken the immune system. This was announced at a briefing at the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Bloomberg spreads the information.

"You can do a booster once or twice, but this is not something you have to repeat over and over again," said Marco Cavalieri, the Head of Biological Health Threats and Vaccine Strategy at EMA.

Instead, he said, it is necessary to leave large intervals between re-vaccination programs and adapt them to the onset of cold weather.

The EU says that re-vaccination is needed to protect from the coronavirus strain "omicron."

Also, in 2022, Israel became the first country to allow 2 "boosters." In total, citizens over the age of 60 were vaccinated against COVID 4 times.
