Erdogan and Putin discuss situation in Israel

The presidents of Turkey and Russia, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Vladimir Putin, discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem during a telephone conversation. Ankara demands an international reaction against Israel, Reuters reports.

In a telephone conversation, Erdoğan said the world community should "teach Israel a lesson in order to stop them." Erdoğan has launched an initiative to send international peacekeepers to the region to protect the Palestinians.
