Europe imposes new restrictions amidst increased coronavirus cases

Along with the increase in COVID-19 infections, new restrictions have been imposed across Europe, BBC reports.

In several countries, restrictions have come into force again.

In nine Fench cities in a curfew was introduced - from 21:00 to 06:00 in the morning. Only emergency travel will be allowed.

Spain, Madrid, and surrounding areas have declared a 15-day state of emergency. All institutions must close at 22:00. The government allows only six-people gatherings.

In Catalonia, all bars and restaurants remain closed for two weeks from October 15.

The Netherlands announced a partial four-week quarantine. Since October 14, all bars, restaurants, and coffee shops have been closed. After 20:00, the sale of alcohol in stores is banned.

Germany has introduced new rules for people arriving from high-risk countries. It is becoming mandatory for them to test for coronavirus at airports.

Besides, persons arriving in Germany are required to undergo a 14-day quarantine.

Also, in Germany, large gatherings remain prohibited, specifically festivals, sporting events, and concerts.

In Berlin, bars and restaurants close at 23:00.

In Italy, it is compulsory to wear masks, both in enclosed spaces and in open spaces. Bars and restaurants close at 21:00. Events with the involvement of more than 30 people are not allowed.
