Former president of Switzerland dies

Former Swiss President Rene Felber died at the age of 87. The Social-Democratic Party of the Confederation spreads the information about his death.

Felber joined the Social Democratic Party in 1958 and served in the Swiss government from 1988 to 1993.

Felber ruled the country from January 1, 1992, to December 31.

According to media reports, Felber resigned in 1993 due to health problems; he had cancer.
