France preparing for mass transport strike

France is protesting the reform of the pension system and is preparing for a strike. Protesters will try to block buses, trains and air travel across the country. Police have already warned owners of cafes and restaurants over the potential violence regarding the protest march.

Authorities issued a ban on protests on the Champs-Elysees avenue, around the presidential palace, parliament and Notre Dame Cathedral.

The SNCF railway company is expecting nine out of 10 high-speed trains to be canceled.

According to Air France 30% of its domestic flights will be cancelled.
