French ambassador to be summoned to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry over Karabakh resolution

French ambassador will be summoned to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry over Karabakh resolution.

The French ambassador will have to answer questions regarding the resolution adopted on the Karabakh issue by the French National Assembly. He is summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. The French parliament's lower house has backed a resolution calling on the country's government to recognize Karabakh's independence. The document was called biased by the Azerbaijani side.

"We will inform the other side of the sharp protest of the Azerbaijani side over the unsubstantiated and biased document," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier, Jean-Yves Le Drian, the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, responded to the resolution and said that the so-called independence of the regime would not be recognized.
