Ilham Aliyev assesses Armenia's actions as fascism

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, commented on the clash on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

He addressed the public.

He says that Azerbaijan will not leave Armenia's actions unanswered.

The President also noted that Azerbaijan has no military targets in Armenia.

"Recently, military provocations of Armenia against Azerbaijan became regular. In July, our servicemen and a civilian lost lives after Tovuz on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was bombed. It is no secret that Armenia was the first to open fire, and it was the Azerbaijani military servicemen who were the first to die. Azerbaijan gave a worthy response to the enemy. On Sunday morning, the Armenian Armed Forces began shelling the Azerbaijani military and civilian population positions in various directions along the line of contact. It is another military provocation of Armenia. Azerbaijan will not leave Armenia's actions unanswered. It is yet another manifestation of Armenian fascism," Ilham Aliyev declared.

Tensions have been observed at the Azerbaijan-Armenia border since the early morning. The parties report fatal military attacks.

As Azerbaijani media outlets say, Armenia carried out a large-scale attack this morning that claimed lives, including a peaceful population.
