As Reuters news agency reports, the missing passenger plane of Sriwijaya Air was carrying 62 people on board, including ten children.
The fragments of Boeing 737 were detected in the sea, north of Jakarta.
The plane was on its way from Jakarta to Pontianak. It disappeared from radar screens.
