Injured cows in the Alps rescued with helicopter

Ten cows were injured in the pastures and could not return to the valley, in the Swiss Alps, Reuters reports.

Helicopters were used to evacuate them.

The rescue operation was carried out at an altitude of almost 2,000 meters above sea level. The cows were transported one by one to a safe place by ropes.

The remaining thousand cows were able to come down independently.

Cows usually spend the entire summer in the Swiss Alps, in highland pastures.
