So-called interim parliamentary elections are held in occupied Abkhazia. Nine candidates will run for four vacant mandates.
Based on Russian media, the elections will be held in four districts – Kindghi, Gudauta, Bzifi, and Otkhara.
The winner is considered a candidate who gains the majority of votes. The parliament of the so-called sixth convocation was elected on March 12, 2017, in occupied Abkhazia.
The so-called central election commission appointed the interim parliamentary elections to fill the four vacant mandates.
