Iran’s president bans weddings and wakes to stop virus spread

Reuters writes that Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, bans wedding and wakes ceremonies to stop virus spread.

Reportedly, Iran has lifted the restrictions introduced in April, but the increased incidence of infection cases triggered the re-impose of the restrictions.

The president considers the crowded meetings the reason for the infection spread.

The death toll in the country has reached 12,635, and the total number of infected patients is 255,117.
